What do people do when they get a photograph? They put it in a frame and hang it on a wall, of coarse. Well, just as much as photographs are works of art, my frames are works of art as well! But these frames aren't just any ol' frame. For one, they are not cheap! True art never is. And, they are hand made, one of a kind, using genuine re-purposed materials from old barns, fences, and houses. Some even have exotic woods. Some of the barn wood is well over 100 years old! Mostly made from old growth oak with some walnut and pine. Wood that has weathered in the elements since before most of us, or our parents, were even born! Rescued and given a new lease on life. Some are adorned with square head nails, some with corrugated tin and barbed wire, and still others with timeless artifacts; while still keeping the original saw marks, nail holes and others markings from their journey to today. Then, there are frames that are truly MODERN. Using beautiful hardwoods, exotic woods and colored resin with modern styling. Awe inspiring as well. True artwork! Each frame is branded on the back with the model number, and MODERN RUSTIC for authenticity. It is then married with the fine craftsmanship of an artist, and given a "modern" touch. It exists today much as it did prior to its' 'recovery', but now with a modern look. Some frames are loaded with one of my exquisite prints (any frame can be) so nature's beauty is enhanced to it's finest. Two pieces of art to display proudly! The photograph is printed on acid-free fine art paper with ph balance and acid-free mats and backing. They are printed using archival inks to last decades, and put behind UV and non-glare glass.
